ABANA Affiliate Liaison Letter,
Sucessful Affiliate Programs September 2003
September 17, 2003
Dear Affiliate Presidents and Editors,
Included with this mailer are three submissions for ABANA’s program, “A Program To Share Successful Affiliate Activities.”
The Michigan Artist-Blacksmith Association, the Pittsburgh Area Artist Blacksmiths and The Guild of Metalsmiths have submitted a description of their successful activity for your use. Please read and discuss these programs with your board of directors. Perhaps you can pick up some good ideas.
I hope that you, too, will submit a description of one of your successful activities so it may be shared with all of the affiliates. All affiliate presidents have received a description of this program and information on how to submit your successful activity. If you have lost your copy and want to participate, go to the ABANA website and click on Affiliates/Successful Affiliate Activities to find directions.
Note one slight change in the directions on how to submit. Since I will complete my term on the ABANA Board in October, 2003, I will no longer be the chairman of the Member Services Committee. Therefore, send your submissions to LeeAnn Mitchell in the ABANA Central Office and she will forward your submission to the proper person. LeeAnn Mitchell, Central Office Administrator, ABANA, Box 816, Farmington, GA, 30638-0816, or abana@abana.org. Be sure to mention “Successful Activities” in the subject line to insure proper routing of your article.
Here is hoping to see your participation, and remember—forge ahead.
Sincerely,
Bob Fredell, Chairman
Member Services Committee
